STUDLEY v WORCESTER NOMADS ACADEMY.
WORCESTER Nomads Academy travelled to Studley in impressive form and with a strong side.
After winning the toss and electing to bat, Nomads' Claytor and Watkins set about an opening stand.
Claytor ran his luck before he was run out on 29 and Watkins went for 20.
Dan Taylor then took to the attack on this damp pitch to hit a quick-fire 26 before holing out, bringing the skipper Geoff Taylor to the wicket.
Taylor and Ingles rotated the strike and Taylor mixed lusty blows with singles to hit a quick-fire 52 off nine overs and Ingles finished on 44.
An impressive finish from Stafford (46) and Longley (13no) left Nomads on 246-6 off their 40 overs.
In reply, Studley never got going as Smith and Brain bowled quick and straight with Smith bowling six overs for seven runs and removing the opener.
Hughes batted well for 41 before holing out off Barnes.
An all-round tight fielding and bowling display kept Studley to 146-5 off their 40 overs with good catches from Watkins at slip and Taylor behind the wicket, both off the bowling of u14 player O'Hickey, who really impressed with a variety of swing and seam movement.
