Tight finish in prospect to the Saturday series

BARNARDS Green Angling Club's Saturday series is set for an exciting finish after Paul Harris scooped victory from current leader Christian Rudge.

Rudge started the day well catching small carp on pellet hookbait, followed close by Paul Harris on the next peg ,who was fighting to take over first place.

Lots of bites were hard and several fish were lost during the contest by both anglers.

The final result saw Paul Harris win with 12lb 13ozs, in second was Christian Rudge with 11lb 4ozs and in third place at the event was Alan Newman.

The result still leaves Christian Rudge in the overall lead with a 10lb advantage over second place with one match remaining.

With the series being decided on the best three weight results, the match was still fiercely contested between the current two front runners.
