KABIR Ali picked up his first six-wicket haul of the season to steer Worcestershire to a 10-wicket victory over Glamorgan at New Road.
The 27-year-old seamer did most of the damage on Saturday with four wickets but he returned on Sunday to finish off the Welsh county's innings as the New Road side were set a target 102.
Having put on a 100-run stand in the first innings, openers Daryl Mitchell (47 not out) and Stephen Moore (58no) needed 23.5 overs to seal victory and move the County into second place in the LVCC Division Two table with maximum points, 20 points behind leaders Warwickshire.
The Worcestershire openers were never troubled by the Glamorgan attack on a slow, flat wicket and, having steered the New Road side to a 10-wicket victory at Leicestershire earlier in the month, it was hardly surprising they did so again.
