MALVERN canoe star Emily Lewis excelled at the 57th Junior International Regatta held in Bochum, Germany.
The three-day event was supported by 26 countries and over 500 athletes competed.
Representing Great Britain, Lewis did not have a good start in the final of her individual K1 event over 500 metres.
But she gradually clawed back the initiative from a French competitor taking up the lead with 200m to go to win in two minutes nine seconds just outside her personal best.
Partnered by Kathryn Trotter in the K2 sprint event over both 500m and 1,000m, comfortable victories were achieved from the Dutch and German crews that took second place respectively.
Her attention now turns to the nationals which take place in Nottingham at the National Water Sports Centre on July 3 and 4, and is aiming for selection for the Junior Great Britain team for the Olympic Hopes Regatta, in the Czech Republic in September.
