MALVERN Town head to rivals Wellington on Saturday (3pm) looking to keep their rejuvenated West Midlands League Premier Division title bid alive.
Six league wins in a row have propelled Town up to fourth in the table and just three points off latest leaders Tividale.
Malvern beat Wellington 2-1 at home in August and aim to seal the double over the 11th-placed Herefordshire side who lost 2-1 at Hereford Lads Club last night.
Meanwhile, Town were knocked out of the Worcestershire FA Senior Urn quarter-finals last night with a 3-1 home defeat to higher-ranked Stourport Swifts.
Matt Turner levelled after Aaron Lloyd's strike but goals from Ashley Parsons-Smith and Daniel Sweeney secured victory for Swifts.
Malvern’s league clash against basement boys Wellington Amateurs last weekend was postponed on the morning of the match after the Shropshire side said their squad was hit by illness.
Shaun Smith will miss this weekend's clash as he is away on holiday.
The club's under 21s won 5-1 at Wellington Rangers in the Herefordshire FA Charity Bowl with Yunus Giwa (2), Claudio Henrique De and Henry Dyde among the scorers.
They are without a game on Saturday.
