WARRIORS scrum-half Jonny Arr has been added to the Championship XV squad to take on Canada at Sixways this Sunday (3.15pm).

The 25-year-old, who recently made his 150th appearance for Worcester, is one of two additions to head coach Martin Haag’s side, with London Scottish prop Max Maidment also called up.

Arr said: “I’m delighted to be called-up to the Championship XV squad and I’m looking forward to joining up with the rest of the lads later this week.

“There are a lot of talented players in this Championship side and we will need to find our feet quickly as Canada will see this as preparation for next year’s Rugby World Cup.

“With the game being played at Sixways, it will be extra special for me and hopefully we’ll see lots of Worcester fans cheering us on.”

Arr is Warriors’ highest appearance maker in the current squad and will link-up with team-mates Ryan Bower and captain James Percival when the training camp gets underway later this week.

London Scottish prop Maidment is another exciting young player set for Sixways this weekend, having been coached under the stewardship of Danny Grewcock during his academy years at Bath.

He has also represented England Students and captained Bath University.
