MALVERN College hosted an evening with England and Wasps rugby star James Haskell.

It was attended by the college rugby team and coaches and players from Malvern juniors as well as pupils and parents from The Downs Malvern.

Haskell talked about his motivation to play rugby and how he remained focused to achieve 70 England caps and player of the tour in the Australia series when England won all three Tests.

At the end, Haskell, answered questions, posed for photographs and signed his latest fitness book.

The sport remains a strong focus at the college and at their recent rugby dinner guest speaker and All Black legend Sean Fitzpatrick spoke to an audience of more than 200 guests.

Fitzpatrick was joined by former Springbok and Worcester Warriors player Thinus Delport.

The evening raised funds for the forthcoming college rugby tour to New Zealand and for the Help For Heroes charity.
