MARTLEY Primary bounced back to win the Plate at the Malvern Hills Partnership schools' tag rugby tournament.
Thirty-two teams from 19 schools met at Malvern Rugby Club for the competition.
Martley’s year five and six team of 12 players lost their first two games 2-1 on tries but then won 6-1.
Victory in their last game against Malvern Wells B meant the team claimed the Plate.
The cup went to Malvern’s Somers Park A with Northleigh runners-up after a close final won by a golden try in extra-time.
There were more than 400 children playing tag rugby on the day and Madresfield A claimed the fair play honours.
