Billy Joel has stolen Sir Elton John’s crown as the artist to have performed the most shows at Madison Square Garden.
The Piano Man just played his 65th show at the New York venue, performing for more than two hours before a sold-out crowd.
He sang hits like Uptown Girl, We Didn’t Start the Fire, It’s Still Rock and Roll to Me and Only the Good Die Young.
The 66-year-old singer played piano for most of the night, but also rocked on the guitar and harmonica.
Billy has been performing at MSG once a month since last year.
Elton has performed at MSG 64 times, and cheeky Billy sang Elton’s hit Goodbye Yellow Brick Road at the show.
Billy described the Rocket Man singer as “a good man and a good friend” before dedicating the song to him.
