PCSO Pete Timmins

Pete has been working for the Constabulary for 11 years and has been a PCSO since joining.  He is the dedicated PCSO for Newent Neighbourhood Policing team covering the areas of Kempley, Dymock, Bromsberrow, Redmarley, Corse, Staunton, Upleadon, Pauntley, Oxenhall and Gorsley Kilcot.  The typical work for Pete includes rural crime prevention, wildlife crime, high visibility foot patrol and community engagements.  He also supports the Parish and Town Councils with any local issues. 

One of the PCSO duties he particularly enjoys is working with the rural farming community and building a rapport with them.  He also enjoys working with children with special needs and finds this particularly rewarding. 

Since joining the Constabulary, Pete has received some specialised training to help in the community.  He is a Rural and Environmental Crime Liaison Officer (RECLO), a Hate Crime Champion, Safeguarding Champion which recognises persons at risk and he specialises in Autism awareness and how to deal effectively with people with Autism. He is trained in recognising signs of dementia and how to help and interact with people with dementia; he is a mental health first aider and trained in suicide intervention (ASIST). 

Pete has great experience in Community Policing but likes to unwind by playing golf or cricket in his spare time.

PCSO Joshua Griffiths

Josh has been working for the Constabulary for 10 years and has been a PCSO since joining.  He is currently the dedicated PCSO for Newent, Hartpury and Rudford.  The typical work for Josh includes Neighbourhood Watch, Crimestoppers, school liaison and he supports the Parish and Town Councils with any local issues. 

One of the PCSO responsibilities that Josh particularly enjoys is problem solving and his great knowledge of community policing helps him with this. 

Since joining the Constabulary, Josh has received some specialised training to help in the community.  For example, training given how to deliver school presentations and he often attends various schools in the area to gives talks to all ages on subjects such as internet safety, he is trained to deal with hate crime issues and safeguarding issues which recognises persons at risk. 

In his spare time he enjoys rugby, playing squash and walks with his dog.
