LEDBURY people did a double-take last Saturday, September 6, when a David Beckham look-alike came to town to open Wiggles, the fitness studio.
A large crowd of people at the Homend Mews studio were startled by the striking resemblance of Andy Harmer to David Beckham.
Mr Harmer is a David Beckham doppelganger who has appeared in hit films as the great man himself, including "Bend it like Beckham" and "Goal".
Mr Harmer came to cut the tape, declaring Wiggles open, alongside Town Mayor, Cllr Bob Barnes.
Proprietor Ann Beard said she was delighted by the event and the huge crowds who gathered to have photographs taken with "Becks".
A display of football skills, involving local children wowed the audience, as one of the morning's highlights.
There was also a World War One theme, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War.
Mrs Beard dressed up as a nurse of that period, A grand total of £400 was donated to the Soldiers, Sailors and Airforce Association (SSAFA) and there was a red and white balloon release.
