WHEN John Masefield High School students travelled to Stratford last week, the lesson was all about blood-curdling revenge.
Students from the Year 13 Drama and Theatre Studies group went to the RSC on Thursday, September 18, to participating in a conference on the
Jacobean revenge tragedy, 'The White Devil', by John Webster, as part of their A-Level studies.
John Webster was a contemporary and a rival of William Shakespeare towards the end of Shakespeare's career.
Part of the day for drama was spent in practical
workshops on the stage of the Swan Theatre itself, before the students attended a series of afternoon lectures by renowned academics.
The group then watched the evening performance of the play.
