LEDBURY town councillors say a traffic management strategy is needed for the town.
The aim of the strategy would be the tackle congestion, bad parking, dangerous driving and speeding traffic. Results of the Town Plan survey have shown that these and other traffic management issues are high on the agenda for local people.
Cllr Richard Hadley said:” Ledbury Town Council needs to engage in discussion with Herefordshire Council’s Highways Department with the goal of implementing a programme of works to address issues appropriately.
“A traffic management strategy needs to be agreed and used as a framework to guide future road investment and access policies.”
Traffic Management will now regularly feature on the Economic Development and Planning Committee agenda and the town council says that the public will be updated on progress.
