Newent Community School celebrated its 50th anniversary in April, and no-one is likely to forget.
And this is not not just because of a highly successful reunion event, involving present and past pupils and staff.
A tree has been planted in the school grounds, to commemorate the important milestone.
The tree was planted recently in a ceremony by School Governor June Davies in front of volunteers, who had organised the reunion, and invited dignitaries.
