A LEDBURY business is doing its bit for charity by organising sew-ins for good causes.
Sue Melvin, of Studiocrafts in The Southend said: "We had a very successful charity event in May where we sewed 150 pillowcase dresses for children in Nigeria as part of our charity offerings, and would like to begin regular "coffee and craft for charity" events on the first Friday morning of each month.
"We will be kick-starting these events on Friday February 5 from 10am to noon, where we will be raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support."
Mr Melvin added: "As well as the usual coffee, tea and lots of cake we will also be offering the option to sew a syringe driver or personal effects bag to donate to local hospitals or Macmillan visiting nurses. All materials for the bags will be provided."
