A CAR caught alight in Holmer Road in Hereford this morning.
One crew was called to put out the fire, which involved a BMW X5, at around 10am.
The vehicle had pulled up to the side of the road, close to the Starting Gate pub, before the flames took hold.
Plumes of smoke filled the sky above and flames could be seen beneath the vehicle.
Traffic was stopped as firefighters used hose reel jets and a dry powder extinguisher to put out the blaze.
Police also attended.
