THE rafters of Ledbury's Market Theatre will be raised with concert that will celebrate the Herefordshire town's enduring friendship with the Swedish twin town of Stromstad.
The special show on Friday October 20 from 7.30 pm, will featuring The Swedes, a band from Stromstad, and a new local choir, The Ledbury Singers.
A spokesman said: "From Ledbury’s twin town Strömstad, The Swedes are here with a repertoire of traditional Swedish songs, pop-rock Swedish, English and American music.
"They will be joined by the Ledbury Singers who will perform a selection of English part songs, barbershop favourites and standards from the Great American Songbook."
The spokesman added: "The Ledbury Singers are a newly formed small choir who have now established themselves as an entertaining and enjoyable addition to the local musical scene."
