PROMOTING tourism is one of the new aims of a town council committee.
The Events Committee of Ross-on-Wye Town Council has changed its name to the Community, Markets and Tourism committee.
New chairwoman Caroline Bennett wanted to make the changes to incorporate tourism into a council committee.
Councillor Bennett said: "I also feel passionately that we should work on increasing community engagement and I hope now we have changed the name and remit of the committee to include markets we can move forward with a clear strategy and focus."
