A PERMANENT barrier will be placed at the entrance of the sports centre in Ross-on-Wye to prevent vandalism.
Speaking at Ross Town Council on Monday night, Coun Hannah Lerego said the sports centre is going to have to install a permanent barrier at the entrance of the centre due to vandalism, antisocial behaviour and littering.
She said girl and boy racers drive onto the pitches and cause damage to them.
She also said that vandalism continues at the site - a drain pipe was ripped off the wall and thrown on the roof in the most recent incident.
Coun Lerego said although putting in the barrier will mean dog walkers will not be able to drive up there without a sports centre member unlocking the barrier, it is not the sports centre's fault.
