LEDBURY Real Ales, based off the Hereford Road, has lined up an autumn tour and an open day to celebrate the fact the business is brewing six different green hop beers this year, all made with local hops.

Green hop beer is made with fresh hops, rather than the usual dried hops, and must be brewed within hours of the hops being picked, which means the craft beers are a true taste of the season.

The founder and head brewer at Ledbury Real Ales, Ant Stevens said: "The result is the ultimate seasonal beer that can only be produced during the four-week harvest period and which perfectly captures the delicate aromas and flavours of the hops.

“We’re proud that some of the world’s finest hops are grown right here on our doorstep and this year’s featured hops will come from across the hop shires

and include hops from Pridewood Farm, Hawkins Farming, Townend Farm and Stocks Farm and Instone Court.”

Because the window of opportunity to try the news beers is so limited, Ledbury Real Ales will be attending and hosting a number of events for beer lovers over the hop harvest period.

These include will include:

Malvern Autumn Show, Three Counties Showground:

Saturday September 29 and Sunday September 30.
