A HEREFORDSHIRE animal lover will run a half marathon along the Great Wall of China next month to end animal cruelty.
Cassius Wortmann, 28, will take on his first ever marathon challenge on October 21 in aid of the Animals Asia Foundation and aims to raise £1,000.
He moved to China from Whitecross in 2014.
Cassisus explained: "Despite growing awareness of animal welfare, Chinese news is rife with reports of animals being mistreated and tortured - so the need is real & urgent. Seeing this, I wanted to take action through doing something I love, running, along the Great Wall, one of the world’s architectural marvels."
