A SLIMMING group in Bromyard will be having a police guard for upcoming meetings due to anti-social behaviour blighting their meet ups.

The group meets at the Public Hall, but in recent weeks their meetings have been disrupted by intimidating behaviour.

A group, described as youths by the police and witnesses, have been disturbing the meetings by throwing stones and using intimidating language during the last two events.

A member of the group contacted the police after the second time disruption occurred, and now police will be present in the area so that the women feel safe attending their class.

Lowri Anderson, from the Bromyard Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: "The group is made up of mainly ladies who felt uneasy by the group of youths and their behaviour.

"The youths had been throwing stones, disturbing the meeting, using intimidating language and entering the building whilst the meetings were taking place."
