AN ENTREPRENEUR whose sex doll company offers ‘customised’ figures to bereaved customers to look like their dead lovers says her service is about much more than that.

Jade Stanley who set up sexdollofficial.com said: “The press have picked up on just one part of it, which is quite frustrating because that’s only one part of what we do.”

“It could be rented, it could be for people with disabilities, people who are socially awkward, I offer a completely different service.”

“There are other customisations I do, including celebrities.”

“We can do anything that anyone requests.”

Those purchasing sex dolls from the company can have any features added to their doll including scars, tattoos and piercings.

Mrs Stanley said other companies provide customised sex dolls but their customisations are limited, offering customers a choice of 10 torsos, and 10 heads to choose from.

Mrs Stanley said she offers a bespoke service.“They can talk to myself and my colleagues, give us a picture, we have a number of conversations, it is very, very detailed.”

Mrs Stanley, from Bromsgrove said sex dolls that look like their deceased spouses can offer comfort to bereaved people. “It is very therapeutic. I think what we are finding is the amount of the older generation of people who have lost loved ones and suffer from loneliness is massive. If I can help with that problem, then it’s absolutely brilliant. We are offering comfort at someone’s time of need.”

Mrs Stanley is in talks with a psychologist who is going to write a testimony on the benefits of people using sex dolls.

Mrs Stanley said these people include the elderly, socially awkward people, people with conditions that prevent them from going out, dementia sufferers and people in nursing homes.

“We need to take the taboo away from this item, it’s not something to be mocked, its something that can help” said Mrs Stanley, who is married with four children.

Last year, psychologist Emma Kenny appeared on ITV’s This Morning with presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, criticising the sale of sex dolls claiming it objectifies women. Mrs Stanley disagrees with this view. “I actually think it is quite empowering.” She said. “Women run this company, we are taking control of an industry and making it no longer a taboo. Why should women’s bodies be a taboo? It is nothing to be ashamed of.”

She said Sexdollofficial.com is the only sex doll company in the world that offers a rented service, which launched two months ago.

Mrs Stanley said: “There is no certain demographic, it’s young, old, men, women, it is for so many different people. “
