FIND ghosts and gunpowder at The Commandery this Halloween half term.

This Halloween, from today, October 30 to November 4, visitors are invited to spook it up in one of Worcester’s oldest buildings.

A spokesman said: “Over the half-term holiday brave souls can hear spine-tingling tales of creepy characters from The Commandery’s colourful 1,000 year history, go on gruesome ghost hunts, and follow a trail to save The Commandery from Gunpowder Plotters.

“The beautiful grade I listed historic building nestled in the heart of Worcester has witnessed many centuries of history, making it the perfect place to celebrate Halloween.”

The Historic Ghost Walk of Worcester is taking place on Wednesdays during the autumn and winter, until March, and “super spooky Halloween walk” has been organised for Halloween, Wednesday October 31

A Halloween show “like no other” will come to Colwall Park tomorrow, October 31 with the Creepy Crawlies Halloween Show, which is suitable for the whole family.

The Artrix in Bromsgrove is limbering up for a very busy Halloween time.

Attractions include Crafty’s Halloween Spooktacular (age 2-7) on Saturday November 3 at 2pm, and a Halloween Bubble Disco (age 5-10) on Sunday November 4 at 11am, “music, dancing, games and lots of bubbles - the perfect Halloween party for under tens”.

A spokesman said: “Hear stories of plague, war, witchcraft and murder within the historic building’s labyrinth of spooky corridors! A costume guide will lead you through the building! Tours take place at 6pm, 7pm and 8pm - with a terror tour at 9pm.

There will also be a ghost walk around haunted Ledbury, for Halloween, October 31. Other regular ghost walks also take place.
