A HOST of new faces have been appointed into positions at Herefordshire Young Farmers Club.

Lisa Legge has been elected as the new chairman for the county.

Celebrating her appointment, she said: "As Young Farmers we do all the things you’d expect, learning how to judge a good dairy cow or the best cut of beef, but we also do a lot of things you would never expect.

"Along the way there’s tears, laughter and friendships made that will last a life time. It’s a social link, supporting one another, sharing knowledge and establishing friendships between neighbouring farmers.

"It opens channels of communication that are so important to agricultural communities. I am truly honoured to call myself a young farmer and I couldn’t be prouder to be introducing myself as the new County Chairman of Herefordshire."

Lisa will be supported by Ernie Richards as County Vice Chair, while George Goring will serve as Training Vice- Chairman.

The competitions team will be led by Bethan Anthony and Cheryl Williams who will be helped by Chloe Lloyd and Faye Miles.

New Events Chairman Ed Turner will lead a calendar of exciting events throughout the year, and he is also keen on attracting members from diverse backgrounds, alongside Events Vice- Chairman Liberty Perry.
