ST Mary's Church in Madley has received a funding boost from a national organisation that protects memorials to those who died in war.
The War Memorials Trust Grant Scheme will provide £2,630 of funding to the church to enable essential repairs to the pipe organ.
The Nicholson's Pipe Organ was installed by villagers as a thanksgiving for the end of the First World War and has been in regular use for services and special events ever since.
Frances Moreton, director of the War Memorial Trust, said: "War memorials are a tangible connection to our shared past creating a link between the fallen and today.
"It is vital we ensure all our war memorials are in the best possible condition for their age and the charity is delighted to support this project."
