LEDBURY Amateur Dramatic Society is celebrating its 80th Birthday this year, and to mark the occasion a book has been produced telling a remarkable story, from early days performing in a WW2 Nissan Hut to building and running the purpose built Market Theatre of today.
The book has been researched and written by LADS member Brian Hudson and tells of "the trials and tribulations of leasing premises from the Church Army; how the legendary pantomimes began and how the Society might have folded after a disastrous fire".
The book also includes a complete list of every known LADS production: well over 250 of them.
Copies of the book are now available at £12.50 each and order forms are available from the theatre or by emailing: brianh@themarkettheatre.com
