ONE of Westfields' most loyal supporters is recovering after falling ill while watching his side's FA Vase match.
Eric Richards' involvement with the Hereford club stretches back to the time when the club played their home matches at Rotherwas.
He was once again cheering on Westfields at allpay park on Saturday when he fell ill close to the end of their 4-0 defeat against Leicester Nirvana.
An ambulance crew was called and took him to Hereford County Hospital.
Andy Morris, Westfields chief executive, later visited Mr Richards that evening.
He added: "Eric has had an ECG and blood tests and looks much better than when he left the club in the ambulance. "Eric asked me to say thank you to all committee and friends who helped him."
