VICTORIAN-themed entertainment and live music will be seen on the streets of Hereford for late night Christmas shopping.

During December's late night shopping Wednesdays there will be a roving comedy Victorian Chimney Sweep duo who get themselves into one mishap after another, a Victorian style outdoor music hall piano player singing songs (performing in Bridge Street on December 5) and the enchanted Snow Princess and her friend Jack Frost.

Church Street will have a Victorian theme, complete with occasional smog and snow.

There will also be a Find the Sofa Competition when each Wednesday a red sofa will appear at 5.30pm on City Life’s Facebook page at a location that participants will need to identify and then get themselves down to within the hour.

The first to get there will win £250 in vouchers to be spent locally.

There will be live bands in High Town on December 12 and Saturday, December 22.

The events have been organised by Hereford City Life, run by Hereford Business Improvement District, and Hereford City Council.

There is free parking after 4pm on late night Christmas Wednesdays in all Herefordshire Council car parks, Maylord Shopping Centre and Old Market.
