A FORMER businessman who was a familiar figure in the city's motor trade for more than four decades has died at the age of 77.
Bryan Camden worked for Vincent Greenhous, F R Brown and Sons, Euro Car, Holloway's and Mill Garage before retiring in 2006.
He estimated that he sold more than 12,000 cars during his 43-year career.
"I love cars and my favourites are BMWs," he said when he retired 12 years ago. "When I started, I would never have imagined that British car companies would have virtually disappeared and that the mini would be German-owned."
Outside of work, he was an enthusiastic Hereford United supporter and his personalised registration plate of 200 HFC was often seen in the city.
Cars were clearly in the family DNA with two of his sons following him into the motor trade.
Bryan Camden, whose funeral takes place at Hereford Crematorium on Thursday, December 13 at 2.15pm leaves widow Eleanor and four children Donna, Jeremy, Dominic and Justin.
