WESTERN Explorer Scouts will collect Christmas trees from the Ledbury and Wellington Heath area in the new year.
The collection and the fundraising it brings is now a local tradition and takes place during the Ledbury Scouts' centenary year.
The trees will be turned into mulch for recycling, and proceeds from the collection itself will go towards supporting activities for almost 100 youngsters; Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorer Scouts, as they celebrate 100 years of scouting in Ledbury.
The collection will be on the morning of Sunday January 6.
Residents should leave their tree outside with £4 and the trees will be collected and disposed of by the hard-working Scouts.
