THIEVES have been targetting plant and farm machinery across Herefordshire.

Police report that a spate of thefts and attempted thefts have occurred in the last week in several different areas of the county.

In Credenhill, thieves broke a lock on a mini digger and took a heavy-duty plant battery between 12pm on February 1 and 9am on February 2.

Whilst at Garway Hill, a JCB micro digger that was parked behind a house undergoing redevelopment was stolen overnight on February 4.

Police said that a neighbour saw lights at around 5am, but thought it was a person going to work.

And on February 5, tractor batteries, mower batteries, red and white diesel and a JCB key were stolen when a Kingsland tractor shed was broken into.
