The Farmers Arms at Wellington Heath has been presented with a Herefordshire CAMRA award as overall runner up in the 2018 Country Pub of the Year.
The village pub near Ledbury beat 250 Herefordshire pubs to earn the impressive accolade.
Mark Haslam of Herefordshire CAMRA said this was no mean feat and when presenting the plaque last week to the Joplin family added that The Farmers Arms had "more ambience on the patio than some pubs have inside".
The award is a based on the quality of the beer and is a membership judgment with voting over a 12 month period, "but with a good range of well kept beer comes good food, and good company; in short, a good pub".
The award was accepted by Lawrence and Carolyn Joplin and Hannah Joplin, chief of house at the popular pub.
