Award-winning theatre company The Phoenix Theatre, in Ross-on-Wye, launch their 2019 season this week with Agatha Christie’s gripping mystery And Then There Were None.

When ten strangers are mysteriously invited to a remote island off the coast of Devon (Solider Island) by an apparently mutual host, it soon becomes clear that none of them have ever spoken to or met their host. Greeted by two house servants (Mr and Mrs Rogers), eight guests are welcomed and shown to their respective rooms.

As the evening draws in, there is no sign of the host and as the guests begin to get settled for the night, a voice breaks from the darkness, accusing each of them of a heinous crime. Trapped on the island with no way off until morning, they discover a sinister nursery rhyme along with ten china soldier boys. One by one the figurines and guests begin to disappear or die in ways depicted by the rhyme, meaning that the killer is among them.

As their numbers fall and tensions rise, will the guests be able to discover who the killer is before it’s too late? Or will the fatal rhyme play out to the end?

The production runs from Saturday, March 23 to Saturday, March 30. Tickets are available from the box office at Rossiter Books on 01989 564464 or online at www.ticketsource.co.uk/
