SIR – Travelling along the western by-pass today [Sunday, March 24] at 65mph, I was overtaken by four motorcycles far exceeding the speed limit as they headed towards the A44 Bromyard Road.
Just over an hour later, I approached the A44 roundabout on my return trip only to be greeted with three bikers circling the roundabout no less than four consecutive times.
This idiotic behaviour temporarily halted the traffic. The bikers then sped off at breakneck speed along the by-pass towards the next roundabout.
Speaking to a fellow motorist at the Lower Wick filling station later in the afternoon he informed me that the bikers’ behaviour was a common occurrence during the spring and summer on Sunday afternoons.
If this is the case, why aren’t the police doing something about it before someone gets killed?
