PEOPLE on Herefordshire Council business can no longer get free parking on St Katherine’s car park in Ledbury.
The Reporter had been told there had been disagreements between people parking up on council business and traffic wardens, who handed out tickets to them.
But the council says the changes have, in fact, ruffled no feathers.
A spokesman said: “From this month, business passes can no longer be used in St Katherine’s car park.
“We encourage council business pass holders to use car parks slightly further away from the town centre to ensure as many spaces as possible can be used by members of the public.”
The spokesman added: “The changes to the use of business passes have been communicated to council employees, and we can confirm that staff have been polite and cooperative.”
