A HEREFORD choir helped raise £1,000 last month for a centre in Leominster that supports people living with dementia.
The Leominster Meeting Centre provides a safe place where people are helped to adapt to living with memory problems. They offer exercise, educational sessions and one-to-one meetings with support workers and advisers.
One in 14 people over 65 will develop dementia, according to the Alzheimer's Society. An estimated 850,000 people in the UK currently live with the disease.
Over 150 people attended the concert by Hereford Police Male Choir at the Priory Church, including Leominster's mayor councillor Jenny Bartlett.
Organisers would like to give a special thanks to everyone involved, including musical director Alison Houlebrooke, accompanist James Macdowell-Scott and Master of Ceremonies for the evening Roger Evans.
