BROMYARD residents were surprised to see new road markings painted on a road in the town.

But despite the new white lines, the road still has potholes dotted along it.

Residents feel that Church Street, which runs past the town's Post Office down towards St. Peter's Church, should have been repaired before the new white lines were painted.

A Herefordshire Council spokesperson said: “Balfour Beatty Living Places, on behalf of Herefordshire Council, inspect all A and B roads monthly. If you would like to report a pot hole or other road defect please use the Report It form on the council website or call 01432 261800.

"Over 32,000 defects were repaired last year.

"There are no plans to surface/re-surface the B4203 in whole or part at this time."
