THE gardeners of Ludlow could hold the key to the town’s attempt to add to its long string of gold medals in the annual ‘in bloom’ awards.

Most of the preparation by the town’s ‘Ludlow in Bloom’ group has been completed and the finishing touches of getting all of the hanging baskets in place in done.

Now it is a case of keeping the plants watered in the hope that they will look their best when the judges arrive in July.

But Vivienne Parry, who leads the group, says that ordinary gardeners could well make the difference between another gold or something less.

“I want everyone in Ludlow to do their bit to make the town look at its best,” said Mrs Parry.

“The judges will want an overall impression of the and the gardens of the town are an important part of this.”
