THESE stunning aerial pictures were taken from a drone over Holmer, Hereford, at the weekend.
They show with remarkable clarity how abruptly the sprawl of the city gives way to countryside made lush by the recent rain.
One shot shows the enormous Special Metals Wiggins site, and how new housing developments are extending the urban area into what were once fields.
The hedgerows creating a patchwork of small fields are also particularly striking, as are the brooding range of Welsh hills in the distance.
Photographer Michael Peet stressed that he followed the drone code when taking the pictures.
