FOUR siblings are helping to change the world by tackling the litter problem in Warrington.

Proud mum Chantelle Whitmore, who calls her children her 'flumps', is supervising her youngsters as they log their litter picking journey on their new Facebook page.

Her children Coby aged 10, Bryleigh-Rae aged eight, Georgi-Belle aged four and Tenby aged two were out a their local park in Lower Walton when they noticed how much litter was ruining the green space.

Chantelle said: "My eldest daughter Bryleigh-Rae said ‘look at all the rubbish, why do people not use the bins mummy can we collect it and put it in the bin?'

"It was from this moment that they came up with the idea of ‘doing our bit’ to help change the world that we live in.

"So we set up a Facebook page to help spread the word and share our findings which will be run by my eldest two flumps, under supervision."

The family goes on regular walks twice a week and on days out in the Lower Walton area - sometimes venturing out further a field.

These include visiting parks, walking trails and beaches with their empty rubbish bags, gloves and litter pickers.

All four siblings, including two-year-old Tenby, participate in collecting rubbish and disposing of it properly- regardless of the weather conditions.

They even do their bit while on the school run by cleaning up any litter on their commute.

Chantelle added: "Last week we spent two hours in the pouring rain but that didn’t damped their spirits.

"This is something they wanted to do themselves so they can help protect the planet.

"They’ve received some lovely comments on their Facebook page so far

"I’m bursting with pride and super proud of their efforts.

"A few people have asked if they can join us so we’re even thinking of setting up a little group once a month for other parents and children to help out."
