SOARING temperatures have delayed the reopening of the road serving a village near Hereford.
The B4399 in Holme Lacy village has been closed since 9am this morning for carriageway resurfacing works.
Restrictions were set to be lifted at 5pm this afternoon before being reinstated at 9am tomorrow morning to allow further works to take place.
But a spokesperson for Balfour Beatty Living Places and Herefordshire Council said that the warm conditions that have hit Herefordshire today are causing the new surface to take longer to set.
Commuters are advised to find other routes, as the road will remain closed until at least 7pm this evening, if not later.
It will again be open between 6am and 9am tomorrow for morning traffic.
