SAINSBURY'S has been evacuated this morning following a gas leak in the refrigerator section.

A fire service spokesperson said crews were called to Hereford's Barton Yard store before 9am today.

The store was evacuated as a precautionary measure, and firefighters are currently on scene dealing with a small carbon monoxide leak from a refrigerator.

The incident is the second supermarket evacuation in Hereford in as many days.

It follows hot on the heels of yesterday's incident at Morrisons, where the aisles were drenched as torrential rain breached the roof.
