THUNDERSTORMS are expected to hit Herefordshire tomorrow.

A yellow warning is in place in the east of the county, with forecasters predicting heavy rain and murky conditions.

While it is expected to remain mostly dry and sunny with the possibility of the odd scattered shower this afternoon and evening, conditions are set to become more unsettled overnight and through tomorrow.

Extensive cloud cover will cover the county and showery rain will turn to heavy spells through the day.

Drivers are advised to take care, as Met Office experts say the anticipated heavy showers and thunderstorms may cause some flooding and transport disruption.

The stormy weather will clear eastwards later in the day, bringing largely dry weather to Herefordshire on Thursday before wet conditions make a return on Friday and Saturday.
