Worcester Warriors: Two giant LED screens to be installed

The screens, measuring 8.4 metres x six metres, will be put up in the south-west and south-east corners of the stadium and will be linked by digital ribbons across the length of the South Stand.

Warriors say the displays will bring “the latest high-resolution LED technology” to the ground that will create a “high-impact, creative platform” to interact with fans.

Work will begin on installation this month and hope to be operational for Worcester Warriors’ first league match against Leicester Tigers at Sixways on Saturday, October 19.

As well as installing the new displays, stadium technology specialists ADI will connect Sixways to its remote production centre in Preston where a team of producers, editors and graphics operators will create and manage the live matchday content.

Warriors’ operations director Peter Kelly said: “We can’t wait to welcome fans back to their new-look home at the start of the season.

“The new display infrastructure won’t just transform the appearance of the stadium, though – it will revolutionise the way fans experience the game.

“We’re working closely with ADI to deliver a fan-first content strategy that will enhance the matchday experience whilst also creating a valuable platform for our partners.

“We want to create one of the best experiences in live sport – not just in rugby.

“So it’s important to us that the new displays are used to create a highly interactive experience for fans.

“That means bringing together the best of social media, match stats, and creative video content to create a meaningful experience that feels new and exciting every week.
