A CHARITABLE company dedicated to helping disabled and older people has pledged its support to the Armed Forces Covenant.
Services for Independent Living is the 47th organization in Hereford to sign the pledge, promising to uphold the key principles of the covenant by making sure that no member of the Armed Forces should face disadvantages in work compared to any other citizen.
This will involve employing service spouses, partners and veterans of a variety of ages, offering a degree of flexibility concerning leave for spouses and partners and supporting employees who choose to become members of the Reserve forces.
Angela Pendleton, chair of the board of trustees, said: “I am proud to be signing the Armed Forces Covenant on behalf of Services for Independent Living and to pledge our on-going support to our Armed Forces.”
