THE SEASIDE has come to landlocked Halesowen - and scores of children have already enjoying playing in the town centre beach.
Halesowen BID opened the urban beach in Somers Square yesterday (Monday) and is hoping it will attract lots of youngsters over the coming bank holiday weekend.
It will be open from 10am till 4pm every day through till Sunday September 1 and entry is free.
Music, children's party games, Punch and Judy shows and facepainting are among the attractions.
Halesowen BID manager Vicky Rogers, who organised the beach, said: "Its great to see the kids enjoying the giant sandpit.
"The weather is set to improve on the run up to the bank holiday so hopefully the beach will get lots of visitors."
