THE day Halesowen shoppers have been waiting for is almost here - as the town's new B&M store opens its doors tomorrow (Wednesday).

The store, which has created 40 jobs, will open in the Cornbow Centre at 9am.

On the ground floor, at the head of the Cornbow mall, B&M replaces New Look and Roman Originals as well as two vacant units.

Members of the Phase Trust - a charity in Little Cornbow which helps local youngsters maximise learning opportunities and reach their full potential - will be VIPs at the launch.

The charity was nominated by the B&M store's staff members when they were asked to come up with a local charity which deserved support.

Staff from the charity, which will be given £250 worth of B&M vouchers, will officially unveil the store alongside the Mayor of Dudley councillor David Stanley.

Store manager, Chris Summers, said: “The team at Phase Trust really stood out for us as they go the extra mile for local young people in the community.

"We wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work they do.

“We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.”

He said: “Our new colleagues have been working really hard to get the store ready for opening day, we can’t wait to get the doors open tomorrow and show customers their brand new B&M.”

Customers can expect to find a wide variety of branded products including toys, food & drink, pet range, health & beauty and homewares.
