An investigation is underway after a number of crayfish were found dead in a county river.
Staff from the Environment Agency were called to Craswall high up in the Golden Valley today.
Dave Throup, from the Environment Agency, said there was no signs of pollution and the water quality was good.
He said teams were now investigating the cause of the death and that other fauna near the River Monnow appeared to be unaffected.
