Angela Galvin, Director of Artrix has expanded on the “exciting range of events on offer” at the Bromsgrove venue, this autumn.

But she’s asking audiences to step into the unknown on occasions.

She said: “We’re inviting you to try something new at Artrix this season.

“Whether it is cutting edge theatre, a creative course or some new sounds there’s a lot of great experiences to choose from”

Off the back of this year’s Edinburgh Festival, Artrix welcomes a whole host of big name comedians including John-Luke Roberts on September 28, Griff Rhys Jones on October 18t, Sofie Hagen on October 30 and Alfie Moore on November 21.

Angela added: “There’s theatre and dance on offer for all of the family from the rescheduled performances of Dear Zoo Live on September 22 and September 23 and Circus of Horrors on October 22 to the return of Nick Sharratt’s Draw Along on October 29 and the magical Santa’s Christmas Countdown on December 23 and Christmas Eve.

“I am also pleased to welcome award-winning theatre companies this Autumn, with New Perspectives’ Trade by Debbie Tucker Green on October 10 and Paines Plough and Tamasha’s co-production of I Wanna Be Yours on November 14.

From October 18 to October 21, Artrix will be screening the new Downton Abbey film, followed by a spookily-timed screening of Northern Ballet Live: Dracula on October 31.

Angela said: “There’s also a season of National Theatre Live screenings, including Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s Fleabag on September 12 and Hansard, starring Olivier Award winners, Lindsay Duncan and Alex Jennings on November 7

“Artrix presents a new season of participatory workshops and courses, including all new – Calligraphy and Brushstrokes from September 16l a new wellness workshop for primary school aged children called Stressbox from September 18 and Speaking In Public from October 26 to November 2.
